John asks…
How to help friend to quit oxycontin.?
My neighbor approached me about a drug addiction. I guess he is addicted to pills, percocet and roxy contin. I told him he should try cold turkey, but wife said it could mess him up if he trys this. Isnt there over the counter vitamins that would stop the withdraw symptoms?

admin answers:
He will probably need professional help to get off (and stay off) Oxycontin. Be there for him as a friend.

Lizzie asks…
What sad yet witty comments do you have to offer on the latest drug scourge known as “cheese”?
Cheese or Cheeze is a recreational drug that surfaced in the United States in 2005.
Cheese is formed by combining heroin and crushed tablets of certain over-the-counter common cold medication, such as Tylenol PM. Such a cold medication contains acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol, and the antihistamine diphenhydramine, the active ingredient in Benadryl. Cheese may contain a 2% to 8% heroin purity level; an 8% purity level is, in some cases, enough to start an addiction in a user of Cheese. The powder is snorted instead of being injected. One tenth of a gram, which is one “hit”, costs two United States dollars on the black market. One quarter gram costs $5. The heroin in cheese remains a highly addictive substance, just like any adulterated form of heroin. Once a person is physically addicted, withdrawal symptoms may appear from 6 to 24 hours after the last dose of the drug.

now what do you have to say about that?

admin answers:
I want to thank you for telling me about yet another fun combination of drugs to try.
The best one I learned about from the internet was what I call Dexxing. Some people call it DMX or DXM or Dex.
Anyway, thanks again!

Carol asks…
I live in Westport, Washington and I want to find an addiction treatment center. Can anybody help me?
A very close friend of mine wants to get herself away from drugs. She’s tried going cold turkey, but the withdrawal symptoms were too much for her to bear. She has just recently acquiesced to getting treatment. Help please.

admin answers:
You should look through the yellow pages to find contact numbers of centers near your area. Having a healthcare provider assess the condition of your friend would also be very beneficial, as this would help you decide what kind of treatment your friend needs. You can also ask a doctor to give you recommendations.
Good luck!
